Some people would say that guys like us are just lazy. Looking back and based on my experience, I would only say that we lack direction. For that reason, I want to share with you the tips that helped me when I was lost in life.
Please read on for my tips on how to achieve goals (for the lazy).
Find your why
For some people, it is not easy being faithful to their why, but others don’t even have a why. You know why? Because they are lost in life and they run on autopilot. They ignore that the clock is ticking and that the time that has passed, is time gone. Your why should be your compass and your north. Your why could be your mother, your family, your children, your friends or even planet earth.
If you really want to achieve your life goals you must convince yourself that it is your duty and that you need to reach that goal. Remind yourself every single day why you must get there. My honest advice is that your why should strong enough to keep you awake at night thinking and planning your “Must Do’s” and “Have To’s”. Your why should provide you clarity, purpose, and direction.
Now that you know that having a why is essential to have whatever you want out of life, what are you waiting for.
Like I previously mentioned, having a why is essential. However, if you don’t establish your priorities right, you will eventually get lost and discouraged. Having said that, you must weigh your priorities and rate them by importance and difficulty. Do not try to tackle everything at once, as you will only fail in everything.
The fewer the things you focus on, the greater the chance of success. Try to focus on your short-term goals and if your short-term goals are aligned with the long-term goals, you will get there before you know it.
Fight your fears
Fear of failure is probably the main reason why most people never get to materialize their dreams. The worst thing a person can do is take their dreams and ideas to the grave. We must learn and understand that fear will always be influential in our life. Therefore, we must be prepared to put countermeasures that help neutralize our fears. Your why could be a powerful countermeasure.
The next time that you are about to make a crucial decision in your life, think of your why and forget everything else. Like I mentioned before, your why should provide you clarity, purpose, and direction.
