To keep this article as short as possible, I at this moment present to you Four (4) great ways of making money online – from home.
- Blogging and Google AdSense
Blogging is one of the classic ways of earning income on the internet. Of course, when you first start the Blog, there will probably be no income coming in for a little while. But, as you put more time and effort into it, the money will start flowing in. And if you are good at it, you could earn a whole lot of money from your Blog.
I got to be honest with you, only those who go the extra mile to provide quality and valuable content, and who are willing and able to market their platform, can earn more than six figures.
To start a blog; There are some necessary things that you must first do. The first thing you should do is investigate which blog topics are most in demand. Why is the niche important? Having a large audience translates into more revenue opportunities, so a niche with low demand will decrease your chances of generating income.
Some of the most popular niches in which you can try to start a blog are:
- Dating and Relationship
One thing about making money through blogging is that you have to pick a niche that you are passionate about and you must stick to it. For example, if you decide to blog about health and fitness, you don’t want to confuse your audience by publishing articles about relationships and dating on your “GetFitGetRip.com” Blog.
Once you have set up your blog, the next step is to sign up for a Google AdSense account. Google’s platform for advertisement should need little introduction as you have probably seen Google Ads on most of the websites you visit. The sole purpose of these Ads is to help the owner of the site make money and vice-versa.
With Google AdSense, you can start making money on your blog as soon as you get enough traffic coming in. All you have to do is sign up for a free Google AdSense account. After that, Google gives you a unique code that you need to integrate into your website (Learn how to do it here).
Another thing that you need to do is subscribe to Google Analytics (read this). Once accepted to both Analytics and Adsense, you will be able to track your earnings and number of blog visitors/page views. If your Blog receives hundreds of thousands of visitors a month, you could be earning more than a thousand dollars ($1,000+) monthly from Adsense alone.

- Affiliate Marketing
Another sure and dependable way by which you can earn a living on the internet is via affiliate marketing. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a blog or a website, you can still venture into affiliate marketing. How does it work? Generally, affiliate marketing means partnering with individuals, brands or stores to help them sell their products and services, in exchange for a percentage of the product’s revenue.
For instance, if you have a blog on health and fitness; you can partner up with a fitness brand to market their products. How does it work? You either create an article to advertise the product, or you insert a link to the product (Ad) on a generic post. It is recommended to offer products that target your audience’s needs or interests.
When you become an affiliate, you would typically get a unique link from the sponsor as soon as you sign up for their program. From there, you will get an agreed percentage for every sale made through your affiliate link. Generally, it’s advisable that you only market products that are related to your platform’s niche.
Like we mentioned before, your blog isn’t the only resource you can use to make money through affiliate marketing. You can also use most of the favorite social media sites. So, if you have a vast FaceBook or YouTube following; you could be making hundreds if not thousands of dollars with Affiliate products. But, be sure to always research or test the products yourself. If not, an inadequate or unreliable product could tarnish the trust of your audience. Other sites which can be used to promote affiliate products are: LinkedIn, Quora and Medium.
- Freelance Writing
If you are the creative type and you are good at writing; know that you can get paid to write. In case you didn’t realize, freelance writing is extremely popular these days; In fact, there are thousands of sites desperately looking to hire freelancers to write for them.
Many sites have gigs available even for those getting started. The most popular places for freelance writers are Upwork.com, Freelancer.com, and Fiverr.com but there are many other alternatives. Once you register for an account on any of the mentioned websites, you can connect with many clients.
Most of these sites are structured differently, but they all have the same goal; to make money while you make money. A few of them will even let you post offers that all the clients can see. With enough diligence and hard work, you can make up thousands of dollars, monthly. The best thing about freelance writing is; you get to control how and when you work.
If you have thousands of followers on social media or, maybe you have a website that pulls in a lot of traffic. Then, why aren’t you making money with it? Publishing sponsored posts could be another lucrative source of income, and it is pretty straight-forward.
If you believe yourself to be an online influencer (thousands of followers), then you must consider marketing brands and products. There are many brands desperately looking for people with a significant social media presence, to market their products and services for them. In simpler words, if you are extremely popular, many brands would love to be your sponsor. The bigger your audience, the easier it gets. You don’t have to ask for them; they will request for you.
There are no formulas when it comes to how much you could be earning from marketing products. But one thing is sure, the more followers you have, the more money you can make for a sponsored post. Some “Influencers” charge as little as five dollars ($5), while others such as famous models can cost thousands for a single shout out!
